General's beret?
 

I picked this up along with several other berets and hats in an auction listed simply as an assortment of hats and berets....none individually described or photoed...a bit of a mystery grab bag.

I believe this is a general's beret.

The beret itself and the badge are both good, however it may be impossible to determine just how long they have been together. The only way would be to remove the badge to see if there is an outline and no marks of any other insignia having been present in the past. This is not recommended in case the General badge is actually original to it.
