Hello,

2 british cap used by officer of the " belgian force publique " in belgian congo. probably worn during the middl east campaign in 1943 ( egpyt / palestin) for 1st Belgian Congo Brigade Group and / or in birmania 1944/1945 for 10th Belgian Congo Casualty Clearing Station. for these two campaigns, belgian force public was next to the british forces.

The top is a pre ww2 British officer service dress cap, and the bottom a ww2 era cap, both very interestingly repurposed with the addition of a different chin strap and insignia.

two very interesting british/belgian sd caps.

I don't know when they started copying british sd caps, but I have one dated 1951 which is in the british style, but made in belgium.

Very nice caps Hughes!

What is the cap badge on the second cap?
Does the badge on the first cap have lugs or 2 prongs?
