SALH regimental museum / archives?

Dear Colleagues
I am researching an engagement of the ABW where the SALH were prominent; does anyone know of the existence of an archive where I might find the SALH regimental diary, or of individual trooper's diaries? Would the Joburg War Museum be a good place to start?
Many thanks
Rob

A famous name during the Anglo Boer War and the subsequent regiment that retained the name as part of the Transvaal Volunteer Force.
Regarding the Anglo Boer War, their nominal roll is in WO127 at Kew with rank and file papers in WO126/130-138, you should note there are no extant papers for SAMIF officers who held direct entry commissions.

Hi Rob, I don't know of any. I think that the JoBurg War Museum would be a good starting point. Regards Andrew

Rob I concur, the JHB Mil Museum has an extensive research facility and their staff at the library have been helpful to me in the past. Doing research on a few projects of mine, I was presently surprised to what they have in their repository.

Brian
