Beret Flash possibly German?

Hi friends

I have this unknown Beret Flash possibly German.

The flash is similar in size to US 5th SF but the symbology does not lean towards US.

All i know is that a friend has it and came from Germany amongst other items.

This is not in any of my reference material.

any help would be appreciated.
