Polish parachute badge
 

Hello all,

I'd appreciate the opinions of Forum members on the authenticity of this unissued WW2 Polish parachute badge.

I obtained it in about 1984 from another collector. My understanding is that the serial number 4589 is from a batch of 11 unissued badges returned at war's end from the parachute training facility in Italy to a military museum.

Hello.
The badge looks ok.
There were 64 unissued para badges from 250 sent to Base no 10 in Italy.
When the base was closed, remaining badges were returned to the Polish 1st Para Bde. Later in 1945-47 some of them were used to make duplicates for soldiers who lost the badges.
