I think I've spotted Lieutenant Colonel William Otter in the seated row of officers. Compare the profile to a contemporaneous photo of him below, which I found on the CWM website. I'm curious as to the identity of the walrus-looking fellow to Otter's right. More than likely a Major of some sort.

Is there a list of 2 RCRI officers online somewhere?

Okay, I've found a list of officers with 2 RCRI in South Africa here.

I've also identified "Major Walrus." He's Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Buchan, a PF officer with the RCRI. He filled the battalion's "Major 2ic" appointment.
