Help with badge and Uniform
 

Hello,
Wondering if anyone can identify what badge and uniform this might be?

I really do not know much about the photo except my gt gran had it in her possession and she emigrated from Kerry to England in about 1919 as a widow

Tough to say about the badge due to poor quality of photo but the only thing close is the Leinster and perhaps all the glare is distorting the badge on the photo.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely not the Leinster Regt as the shapes of the cap and collar badges are different.
The almost look like King Edward's Horse, but just cannot tell.

The cap badge shape doesn’t remotely conform to any of the Irish Regiments i.e.

Connaught Rangers
Leinster Regiment
Royal Dublin Fusiliers
Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
Royal Irish Fusiliers
Royal Irish Regiment
Royal Irish Rifles
Royal Munster Fusiliers

King Edward's Horse possibly for LHS chap as shape and size of cap badge is distinctive. They often wore shoulder chains as yeomanry but not at all times. Only Officers wore small KEH collars but some NCOs and old sweat ORs retained their King's Colonials Squadron collar badges post 1910 but the image isn't sharp enough to tell definitively - possibly B Squadron beaver badges. The RHS chap is less likely KEH as his cap badge is more like a cross pattern and much less like KEH in shape and size.

I will send a PM as would like a better copy to tell definitively and any sense of a name I can try and match with my Nominal Roll. There were a number of Irish members of the King's Colonials and KEH.
