Good afternoon, I wonder if anyone can identify the following badges. The Gurkha badge is large, 3.5 x 4 inches and the Kings Crown & ER would suggest Edward VII? It’s made of a sort of rayon or silk material.

The other is presumably a cap badge backing but for whom?

Any thoughts?

Many thanks, Dave

The bottom is a tracksuit badge. I have one exactly the same, purchased from a Gurkha PRI stand at Bisley around 1985. I cant recall which regiment it was, but Gurkhas were the directing staff that year. The Gurkha staff band were beating the retreat, so it may be for the band. It was all a long time ago now!

As a young Gunner, in the Royal Artillery shooting team, it was my first interaction with Gurkha soldiers!

Does that show a Kings or Queens crown? Equally, did the track suit badge have a Kings crown? If so, why are Gurkhas using a combination of Kings crown & ER?
