Jerry nice OSD, from previous posts most likely a collar badge, being lugged rather than a bladed cap badge.

When I first got it I thought it was a collar because of the lugs, but it is the same size as the slidered OR's example I have so I had changed my mind and decided it was an early OSD cap badge, but happy with it either way.

I'll have to try and find the earlier posts you mention.

The earlier ASC OSD collar badges were the same size as cap badges.

Thanks Thomas. I have a pair of Royal Fusiliers OSD collars still on the tunic and they are the same size as the cap badge, so obviously I should have stuck to my original thoughts.

I did find the earlier threads on the ASC cap and collars mentioned by Tony.
