New RAF badges to look out for

During some surfing today I came across some interesting information. As from 1st December 2017 the VR(T) badges appear to be on their way out. All new commissions will now be in the Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer branch(CFAV), which will be indicated by a new RAFAC badge for slides and for Lapels. Existing officers are also being moved to this grouping but in what timescale was not stated.

The next badge I found is likely to be the rarest of all. It is the rank badge of the Chief of the Air Staff,s Warrant Officer. The badge is a large WO badge with a wreath underneath -similar to the cap leaves used on a Group Captains cap peak, but smaller. I was aware that the incumbant had the letters CASWO on his rank slides but had never seen the No1 arm badge before. A picture is available on the MOD website. Perhaps there is also a new rank slide?
