Rhodesian Constabulary or Cadets ?

Colin Owen in his book The Military Badges and Insignia of Southern Africa said that this badge was "Southern Rhodesia Cadets w/m cap badge worn prior to 1926 ". None of the other badge writers mention this badge at all. So which is it ? I know that not all the badges in Colin's book are correctly described and once it appears in print it tends to become gospel.
Can anyone help ?

I have this noted as SR Cadets. The SR Constabulary had their own badge.

Radford,at serial 793,depicts this as Rhodesian Cadet Corps,white metal cap badge,1901 to 1926.
