I have one of these somewhere which I picked up in the 1960's, I have never thought it was a real badge but a modern copy in the wrong colours of D Troop which as most members know is a rare badge.

However, Guido Rosignoli in his book "Army badges and insignia of World War 2" credits it as "Depot" quite what that was I am not sure.

Also somewhere I have a small booklet by the Commando Assn. I think which credits it as "Demolition" from memory.

Maybe the SF collectors will know.
