Questions about RN Trade Badges

Can anyone help identify these badges please.
The badge (maybe a low powered torpedo) with the crossed torpedoes has had a badge stitched over the L at some point.
Thanks

Questions about RN Trade Badges

Oddly I can find no record of any of these badges being used by the RN.

A badge with a single Torpedo was in use between 1903 and 1947. I can find no variant listed which had a crown above it.

Crossed Torpedoes - the only variants which existed with a crown above and 'something' below were the Torpedo Gunner's Mate (crown above, star below) and the Torpedo Coxswain (crown above, wheel below). Maybe a star or a wheel were stitched over the letter. No Crossed Torpedo badges with a crown above a letter are recorded as being issued - ever.

Crossed Flags - again there is no record of any badges being issued with this exact design.

Could they possibly be variants used by some Commonwealth navy?

The crown above the torpedo badge was listed as an instructor in the collection that I got it from.
My thoughts on the the crossed flags, star and L badge is that it was an early pattern signaler for a landing craft or a signalman/wireman. Still a mystery. Both maybe Canadian?
Upon closer look, the crossed torpedo badge in gold has had the crown stitched over a star, so someone was trying to make a version of a torpedo badge. Once the crown was removed it revealed a very nice Leading Wireman 1940-1947.
Luckily the other 100 odd trade badges I have just got are a little easier to identify.

Diggerinfo website has photos of a 1916 booklet "Rank at a Glance" showing various Navy torpedo and signals badges. (available on Amazon for £14.95 + postage)

None 'match' yours but an interesting item to peruse.

In my view Digger history should be used with extra caution.
The New Zealand section is lacking and misleading in a number of areas.

I wonder if this badge is for a Petty Officer torpedo boy.
Part of the Special Service for boys before they turned ? and went into the regular navy.
(ref. Churchman's cigarette badge cards for similar Boy badges).
