Hi all
need some info on a Australian Munitions Workers badge No 3043 . Any way of researching said badge ??

Does the National Archives of Australia have any records?

That would be the first place I would check.

They seem to have a lot of records there for individual Munitions Workers.

Worth a look.

Found your man! Assuming of course that the badge number is the same as the munitions worker number as shown below.

Thats the problem with the NAA links. They tend to time out.

Just search for "Munitions Worker + 3043" and you will find it.

Found a site about WW1 Australian Munitions Workers that also lists badge numbers and it confirms :

WILLIAMSON James Thomas 3043

I don't know anout Australian issued badges but in the U.K the number on the badge was the workers number and they were issued with a certificate bearing that number.

Victoria Museums only states :
