These 10 flame grenades are embroidered. They would be worn with chevrons for sergeants confirmed in their rank in the Royal Engineers?

I thought these were for the Canadian Grenadier Guards.

Thanks for that point Marc. I will dig into it.

Checked. These were not for the CGG.

Think they are definitely Canadian who ever wore them

If they are for the Canadian Military Engineers there are too many flames, unless they are not following the Royal Engineers.

There are a couple of previous threads that indicated the RE grenades used 10 flames crica the First World War. Canadian Engineers followed the imperial practices closely.

I think you will find that is Officers Collar badges.

Prior to 1922, the RE had 10-flame grenade badges. The 9-flame pattern was approved in 1922. I’ve not seen these embroidered ones before though.
