Hi Proficiency badge experts,
Here is a metal star, measures 26mm in height, which I think may be a Driver proficiency badge. I would be grateful for confirmation.
Thanks, John

Hi John,

Not sure what British Commonwealth country yours might have belonged to but they were used in Australia from the mid 1920s up until the start of the Second World War to denote 2nd Class or 2nd Prize, worn in conjunction with crossed rifles, crossed flags, G in wreath, etc, type badges.

Mine are pinned to a board and I can't get behind it to check if the oxidised copper examples I have are with copper lugs or blackened lugs. The manufacture appears Australian in any case, Stokes & Son being the supplier for most of these types of badges.

Hi Keith,
Thanks very much for your comments. I thought there may be an Australian connection.
Cheers, John
