RCCS KC Cap Badges

It is no wonder there is so much confusion about collecting Canadian metal insignia, here are two RCCS cap badges that were issued to the same person during WWII and they are both different.

Flat back, cast & cut out, with pretty teeny tiny leaf stems. Doesn't look like it ever had an overlay. Any info appreciated.

Sure looks like one of the "sand cast" badges that has been previously discussed. Agreed that there doesn't appear to have been an overlay.
