1 CANPARA canvas printed
 

These two very rare canvas NOS patches were recently sold on ebay, what are your thoughts on them.

There's been a few duds sold recently, produced by someone I think in the Ottawa Valley. I'm not expert on either, but I'd steer clear of both unless I knew exactly where they'd come from.

The Film & Photo looks good. The 1 Cdn Para may be okay. The fabric looks a bit heavy, but more important, I don't see any evidence of cut lines on the Para title. Without a close up examinination in hand I am not confident in saying yay or nay on it.

Would the cut lines be brown on the 1 CANPARA, I notice on this example that there looks like a blue line on the top of the brown border

Not sure about the colour of the cut lines. On most printed titles the cut guide lines are a lighter colour. I checked my example and images of a couple others I have in my reference file and they are inconclusive.

I like both of these.

The cut lines on one of my 1 CANPARA titles are a dull white. I have another one that was cut shorter and they are not visible. Otherwise they are identical.

As David mentioned there have been some pretty good repros done recently. It's quite possible both of these examples are good, there are certain details I like on both but an in hand inspection would be the final decision for me.
