Royal Observer Corps Shoulder Titles - Fakes!
 

Recently I have noticed a number of ROC fake shoulder titles on the market, all having a blue tint to the text on the badge, all apparently being used and all with spaghetti like backs. However in searching for further information I came across a Chinese manufacturer who will make better quality copies (even though the corps has been disbanded for decades!) Although much closer to the official versions, there is still an easy way to tell them apart.

It seems to defy logic to me when you can pick up genuine, unused ones, for around £1.00 each!

I sincerely hope that whoever is making these reproductions doesn't latch on to the earlier integral numeral types or the very rare battledress titles.

Thanks for the heads up, I have been looking at these recently but haven't quite pushed the button on them yet.

Am I right in thinking the bottom one in your photo of 3 is the fake? (blue text as you said).

Sorry to disappoint - all three are fakes.

The curved one in the separate image is from China and is being made right now, it is the closest to the originals of the current batch of fakes - but it can easily distinguished. (If you want more info. PM me and I'll let you know the difference if you can't detect it).
