H.C.C.L.?

I have seen HCCL stamped on two different British military kerosene/paraffin lanterns made in the 1950's (One a Gremlin and the other a Chalwyn). Anyone know what that stands for please?

It's heen suggested on other forums that it may stand for "Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd" or "Hudswell Clarke & Co Leeds".
They made "Gremlin" lamps.
