Devonport Rifle & Revolver Meeting

The pictured medal was awarded to my late father in the early days of his RN service, probably mid 1930's. Appears to be bronze. Obverse depicts crossed No1mkIII's, a Webley and coronet. Reverse a spray of oak leaves and blank area, I assume for an inscription. The presentation case and medal are maker marked Page, Plymouth. The case has a slot of about 35 mm at the top And I am wondering if this medal would have originally had a ribbon and mounting bar.
Would appreciate any thoughts members may have in this regard. Cheers. Len. |
A nice item. Are you going to get it engraved ? I would.

Thanks Andy, the thought of engraving had occurred to me but I would like to find out a little more about the award before doing so.

Thanks for sharing, a lovely item.
I do like these early shooting awards, a fascinating area of study. Cheerio, Roy |
