I don't think I've a spare 2006 and the prices for early dated poppies is ridiculous , a 2008 one just went for £120.00 ! . |

If you have a stud one I could buy one you that would be amazing |

I won't be able to check my 'spares box' until tomorrow but if you are desperate I spotted one on eBay an hour ago (no mention of RBL or Poppy in the listing) that had a 'buy it now' price of £25.00 + £1.95 pp . As I had stuck it on my "watch list" I just got a seller offer for £20.00 + £1.95 pp. Have sent you a PM. . |

There have been a batch of unusual/rare dated poppies appearing from Northern Ireland , none produced/sold by the RBL in England so either local/branch orders or fakes/copies . . |

They have been available on the PoppyShop website at reduced price of £7.99 for the past couple of month (I guess they didn't sell well originally ;)) and have been showing up on eBay for well above that recently. NB. They are now showing up on the official Royal British Legion eBay shop at the full £29.99 price . |
Lost direction ?

As I've said , I don't like the new "corporate" logo the RBL has introduced and thought the "British" in the badge was getting 'lost' in the design.
Checking the "New in" section of the PoppyShop website they have four new badges (not available but coming soon ) but what I find strange considering their push for the RBL/Poppy brand is that the badges give no indication that they are from/supporting the charity. Perhaps it's just me but I feel they have not only lost direction but are out of touch with the views/feelings of the grassroots members. . |
I do not think these are 'new designs' but pins which have been picked up or donated, as they are WW1 orientated not 100 years of the RBL which is meant to be the currant trend/event.

Didn't know RBL/PoppyShop sold donated items , I knew their 'official' eBay shop listed signed football shirts etc . . |

Nice pin, I have not added any new pins to my collection other than the 2021 Poppy Pin and 100 Years RBL Pin, plus an undated PGA Golf Pin
Have marked my report card - Must try harder |
First thought was that it was a 'chinese made' fantasy item but a check on the RBL site showed it was real .

Not being a 'Poppy Supporter' in the donation sense I have never seen one, or any of my local members wearing one!

All I can say is well spotted. I agree this may well be the first year of issue,
so you need to donate a minimum of £10 per month to get one! https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get...E&gclsrc=aw.ds I am not a Poppy Supporter as I only donate my time as a now Deputy Poppy Appeal Organiser and have to wait 15 years for my 'free' badge! [already served my time] |
