Can somebody please ID these? Wiltshire - Is it Wiltshire Regiment or Yeomanry? Lincoln - Lincs Reg or Yeo? Devon - Devonshire Reg or Yeo? LdSH - Canadian? Thanks, cheers, Alex |

Wiltshire - Wiltshire Regiment Lincoln - Lincolnshire Regiment Devon - Devonshire Regiment Rob |
LDSH - Lord Strathcona's Horse when serving in the 5th Canadian Armoured Brigade in 5th Canadian Armoured Division.
The Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry wore RWY in red on yellow (Royal Armoured Corps colours) post-war. |

The LDSH is the second pattern 5 CAD patch. Their first type was LSH, which King George V pointed out was an incorrect abbreviation, and the battle patch should properly read LDSH. The Regiment modified some of the LSH pattern by hand embroidering the "D". Later, embroidered examples were made with the "D" machine embroidered. The canvas patches were all made with LDSH.

Red and white were the official colours prescribed for Line Infantry infantry regiment shoulder titles in WW2.
