Unknown[FAA perhaps] Sweetheart

I just picked up this Sweetheart pin at a show Sat last, I think it might be FAA (Fleet Air Arm) but I don't know the meaning of the Letters RNFS -

Royal Naval Fleet [something]?

Its small - Size is 4cm x 1.5 cm

Thanks!
Bryan

This could well be for the Royal Navy Flying School. There was a similar cloth badge in the 'Royal Navy & Royal Marines' section recently.

Badge identification

Bryan,
The letters 'R N F S' represent Royal Navy Flying Scholarship. I suspect this metal badge was worn in civvies by those who had qualified for a scholarship.
The badge was issued embroidered red on blue with a Vocab No:32508 (NSN: 8455-99-415-5766).
I have only ever seen red badges (and have a sealed pattern), though gold and/or blue may exist but could just be particularly elusive.

Thank you George, was the red/gold/blue badge worn on the uniform, & where on the tunic?

Might you post a photo of the red (sealed pattern) badge pls?

Bryan
