Could I ask the Forum what a true value would be for these items is please?

8th Mounted Infantry, expect these to be worn centrally in a Cocade, Red/White/Blue, but isn't one with them, how hard are they to find?

Enamel Lapel badge Fattorini to the "55th West Lancashire Division" looks like a service number to rear stamped into rear of badge. I am going to lose this badge its so small! but know that there will be a few members who would love to have it in there own collection, but don't wish to rip anyone off, have seen some extroadinary pricing on the internet? 667910 stamped to rear!

All the best billy

"REG" to top of badge, bottom you have in raised lettering "FATTORINI BRADFORD" then the numerals stamped to rear over the raised lettering?

This could easily be the "REG" but like to think at 6 didgits thst it could beca Serviceman's number?

Billy

Believe it is a Registration number as an example of the same badge is on page three of High Wood (Simons) Miscellaneous badges album with what appears to be the same number. He may be able to assist with a price.

Simon.

Billy,

Numbered MI badges ell for about £75 on Dealers sites.

The number on my badge is identical. I believe that it is the Registered Design number for the badge, The letters REG, are cast as part of the back of the badge as is the name of the maker. My guess is that they started the manufacture of the badge components before the registration number was issued, It was added to the back of the disc before the enamelling process and the fitting of the button hole slider.

667910 would indicate 1920/21.
