Am trying to identify a badge from my late Mother's belongings as described above please. My Mother served in the WRENS and was an electrical engineer at HMS Jackdaw in Crail. Thank you.

Hello Robert O'R, welcome to the Forum. Your account is active and open for posts.
An image of the patch would be most helpful for identification. |
White Maltese cross cloth badge.
Hi. Yes a picture would be good but sounds like a connection to the Royal Naval School Tal Handaq in Malta. Later became Services Children's School Tal Handaq. From what you describe, it may be a school uniform blazer badge.

Thank you both. Have added in an image as a pdf - not sure if you will see it or not - I am a bit of a novice here. It might well be a school badge as my parents were in Malta later (where I was born) and this could be my Brother's badge, thank you for the suggestion; your help is appreciated.

Down memory lane.
The answers above are all correct. I had childhood friends who went to Services Schools in Malta as they came from Services families. I am going back to the late 50s/early 60s and I recall this badge being worn. The younger children went to Verdala School while older children to Tal-Handaq, but no change in badge as far as I know GTB |
Interesting as this was my primary school in the 50s!
