VAD and the British Voluntary Medical Service Medal

I am trying to determine if the VAD were ever awarded this medal, the British Voluntary Medical Service Medal? I know it's a BRCS medal it seems for long service, but since the VAD was associated with the BRCS )in both wars I believe), just wondering if they were also eligible?

Terry,
Yes it is a BRCS long service medal (18 years I believe). The SJAB also has service medals.
The VAD was a combined BRCS/SJAB, so they would be entitled to the long service medal of there particular association (.e. if you were a SJAB VAD, you would get the SJAB long service medal and if you were BRCS VAD, you could get the British VMS medal)
