It is indeed 11 (Royal School of Signals) Regiment - based nowadays in Blandford. Where all the baby siggies get trained (Unless you went to the College in Harrogate like wot I did).
cheers, Andy C |
No longer worn. It like all RSIGNALS regtl badges went this month.
There is an earlier all green version with out the cap badge and with a larger sword and flags, which was worn briefly in 2000-2. It too was removed as 'unapproved'. Also gone is this monstrosity http://www.salisburyjournal.co.uk/ne...h_army/?ref=mr |
I didn't realise all badges were ceasing to be worn.
Why is this. Maybe due to not having enough soldiers to warrant making them with defence cuts! What intake were you pal. I was 89c Jon |

11 Sigs Badge
Dear AlanO.
Further to your entry on this Thread about British badges being discontinued from this month. Could you please advise me where to look for a list of some king showing which badges and Regiments/Corps. Or even some article that I can look at. Kind regards Chris Walker |
Chris
It's simple all the units in 11 bde or 1 Bde wear the bde flashes. This is the same for the Regular and Reserve. 11 Sig Regt sit outside the Bde so wear nothing. 216 remians in 16 bde so stays the same. Alan |
I just wondered as my mate in 14 said that they were getting rid of the white horse?

God's trade?
Weird one Andy as I though RTgs were Gods trade 😉

Who makes these badges? The R Signals badge on the right has an old crown!
