SERE Survival Evasion Resistance Extraction

I have received these items from the USA and would like to know more about them.
The pictures show arm patches which I am not sure if they are USA or UK??
The wording is SERE Survival Evasion Resistance Extraction and come in green & desert colour. The 3rd patch is defiantly USA and they came with the desert Union Flag so maybe Special forces trained in the U.S. with British troops attending???
Any idea please?

There is a S.E.R.E unit within the RAF, I believe.

These are British - I remember seeing them worn by a RAF SERE instructor in a photo but can’t remember any more details - sorry!

From Wiki :

Quote:

The Defence Survive, Evade, Resist, Extract (SERE) Training Organisation, otherwise known as DSTO, is a military training organisation based at RAF St. Mawgan, Cornwall in the United Kingdom. DSTO is a tri-service organisation and trains personnel of the British armed forces in survival techniques, evading capture and resistance from interrogation, prior to overseas deployment.

Some images..... Why is this in the Canadian section - should it not be in the British RAF section?

DSTO is tri-service not RAF - although its now headquartered at RAF St Mawgan. It has had several previous incarnations.

The badges in question were (to my knowledge) worn by UK personnel on exercises like ANGEL THUNDER in the US in the early 2000s. They were also occasionally worn on CS95 but as the unit tends not to wear UK uniforms outside the office/classroom they weren't widely worn. I have examples of both in my collection somewhere if anyone's interested...
