Fakers Tools / Dies on ebay
Surely this shouldn't be allowed?

Nothing illegal about it. I do wonder whether the Highland Cyclists die is not in itself a repro though.

I'm considering buying one of the sets.

I do know this buyer, I went to school with his late father, lives in same village as me, respectable and well known medal buyer and dealer.
He bought these sets of dies etc from Bham Jewelry Quarter. Nothing illegal about it. I posted about his RAC dies recently. |
I didn't think there was anything illegal about it but surely it's asking for trouble if they are bought by the wrong people
|
Even if you bought the dies you'd need more than a hammer to start producing..and the weight makes the postage price huge....£34- I believe on the RAC set..

And a bit of know-how...and I understand that they are a bit worn...but they are/were official dies.

Some of the dies are marked "G & N", ex Gladman and Norman property perhaps?

Fakers Tools/Dies on e-Bay
Forum Members,
I would think at the very least a complete listing of every identifiable die set should be compiled and posted on a BOLO (US law enforcement term; "Be On the Look Out) for the collecting community, in the event that any are put to future nefarious use. Am personally retaining a file compiling the jpgs appearing in the e-Bay auction. Arnhem Jim Arizona Territory |
Lets see how much the Para and SAS ones make that are shown in the stock second photo
