There seems to be a theme developing about Canadian Army Service Corps items, so I'll submit my tupenny worth.

Pictures attached of two CASC collar dogs.
One is single pice made by 'R.J.INGLIS LIMITED'. No picture of this mark appears on the Maker's mark index.
The other is a two pice item, without a maker's mark.

Stephen.

Hello Stephen, The collar on the right in the first image appears to be an officer's collar. The two piece construction is typical of officer's badges.
The R.J. Inglis mark is typical of the mark found on CEF badges, and the CASC wore this pattern of badge before, during and after the First World War.
Dwayne H may be able to add more, as the RCASC is his area of specialization.

The basic beaver CASC collar came out in 1903....and was worn well into the 1930's by militia members of the Corps. The permanent ( reg force) portion of the corps were granted the title of Royal ( a theme in recent days)....the reserve portion remained the CASC until 1936.

Variations due different manufacturers and the fact that it was worn for over 30 years means that there are a large number of versions available. I haven't yet been able to date the different versions. I hope to one day.

Bill is correct ...the one on the right is an officers pattern. There are left and right facing collars.

I've just started a website....still lots to do...many pages not finished yet.
