Do trade badges have makers Mark's on them and is there a source to try and determine manufacturer and date of issue?Attachment 189622
Attachment 189623 Thanks |
I have a Divers arm badge in A/A with maker mark FIRMIN LONDON and a Diver SW arm badge in A/A with mark FIRMIN.
I only have trade badges to the RE and these 2 are the only one's with a maker mark. |
Generally I would say unmarked but looking at some spares I have:
Drummer - Gold Anodised marked J R GAUNT LONDON Drummer - Silver Anodised marked FIRMIN Tim |
Didn't know whether Chris Marsh would have known.
Thanks guys Jon |

Been working on modern badges 1993 onwards for the last few years - quite challenging sorting the offical from the PRI, dealer knock offs etc. but there ain't so many of them. Mind you there are a lot more than people realise and some are very rare indeed. Still not touching collars, buttons or trade items though. Regards, Chris |
