HI Guys
I have picked this example up of a KD cap I would like to ascertain the badge to the front being in KD and with a thin chine strap its early but when ? info on the badge would be a great help its always been on it great ghosting to the cloth cheers steve

I think that the badge is Irish as the title appears to be Gaelic.

Steve, I think this is a cap made for OTC or VTC given the Irish connection it may be worth looking at island of Ireland based OTCs. Regards Mark

Assuming the irish had a similar chronology of changes in cap design, the peak looks pre Great War imo and as you said chinstrap also looks early though I have seen that type on early 1920's caps.
