The Royal Sussex Regiment Officers Badge

Hi all, I picked this up a few weeks ago. I think it's a good one but I'm asking the Forum just in case it's not. The lugs are I think original to the badge but they've been reattached. The reverse is stamped STERLING and LUDLOW. LONDON.

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

In my album I have a brooched Ludlow. Whilst the reverses are different this looks okay to me.

Pete

Thanks Pete, I was fairly certain it was good but I'm not up on British material. My photos are rather flat, in hand the badge is gorgeous.

KR,

Greg

One of the nicest British Army officer badges in my opinion.
Cheers,
Alex

Cracking Badge - well saved ...

It's a badge I have saluted more than a few times. First time was in The Yemen [Aden] back in 64 :D

A badge I've always wanted although I don't have a particular interest in the regiment (at least I've managed a collar badge).

Interesting, was it being worn instead of the Home Counties Brigade badge or displayed as one of the wall murals?

 Opps ...

You are correct Leigh ...

 First it was 65 not 64 that I served in Yemen - and we you're right mate - we wore the Home Counties badge at that time ...

Brain malfunction ... [I get a lot of them nowadays] ;)

The Royal Sussex Regiment (....and me !) were in the Protectorate in 1965 not 64 ?
