Re QC RCA beret / cap badge

I have just had what I thought was a British RA cap badge identified a RCA hat badge . on the reverse it is marked

X-1-2633-78 EVCO

Can anyone give me the significance of the above please?

Thanks
Steve

Destro 1918, A photo of front and rear of the badge would have been helpful. The significance of the letters and numbers are I believe a maker’s code, (in this case, I believe the maker may be EVCO), which could indicate mould or stamp number tied in with the date of manufacture. Please check In my albums under Royal Canadian Artillery post 1952. I do not have a copy of your badge but for sure, you will see at least three beret badges very similar to what you describe. And again. “A picture speaks a thousand words”! Best regards, David J.

Hi

And I think this is the old QC issued version (pre-2015) but am unsure. I seem to recall a kerfuffle in their getting "new" badges but never made a comparison to spot the differences.

Nice brief on the flash in the RCA too:
