Any of you Guards collectors tell me the rank of the chap with four stripes and a star. There`s a serious amount of stripes in this picture.

Worn by RQMS until 1915

Usually worn on the lower arms, inverted for a pre 1915 RQMS.

I think this one may be a unique Guards rank linked to Orderly Room or Drill appointment, they have so many.
