All,
Would like to verify the authenticity of these prior to sale. The are of all wool and cotton construction.

Hello,
I have checked all my embroidered jerboas, their back are black.
Are you sure that the thread used for the jerboa is cotton ? A simple burn test will confirm it : if the thread melts, it's not cotton.

This printed version of the polar bear is, for me, post WW2. Close observation of original WW2 printed version (head up) shows slight differences, for instance the different ghosting of the bear at the back or the white part in the mouth of the bear.

No solid evidence unless close observation on original 49th Div combinations.

You are right not to put it in the trash bin, hence these printed badges could be post WW2 originals.

Just to resurrect this thread, here is a printed Polar Bear formation sign which is on the nurses cape I posted here:

I would say that this is definitely WWII, almost all the patches are printed.

The Post war printed pattern is slightly different.
