Kings Own Royal Border Regiment Dark Blue Beret, Early 1970's
 

A Kangol beret, the code dates its manufacture to c1972/73-ish.
I don't know when KORBR changed to a khaki beret other than that 1 KORBR were wearing khaki by June 1976.
The anodised aluminium badge is slightly convex, carefully shaped by the wearer, the slider is marked to J.R. GAUNT B'HAM.
Cloth headband, plastic badge slider pocket, a WD "crows foot" marking to the liner.
