Royal Marine Band . Medals

Wasn't sure whether to post here, or general topics.

Picked up some medal odds-ends from a second hand shop many years ago, DID try and research these two ( ribbonless,1914-15, Victory medals to a Musician) got as far as finding out he was 'invalided out' at some point.....cannot remember where i found the info originally. Not on CWGC, so survived ww1 i presume.
If anyone could tell me anything more?! wounded? injured? illness? poss qualified for a wound badge?

Charles Henry Small joined the Royal Marines in 1904 as a Band Boy in the Royal Marines Band of which there were several. He was born in Aldershot and his trade on enlistment was a Stonemason. In WW1 he served on the Armoured Cruiser HMS Minotaur from 8/5/1912 - 8/8/16 and then at the Royal Marine School of Music from 9/8/16 -18/10/16 before he was invallided,no reason for discharge is given on his Service Record. He was present on HMS Minotaur at the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1916 and his discharge could well be linked to this,

HMS Minotaur Service WW1,

China station at start of war.
August 1914 Captured and sank German merchant ship Elsbeth
6 August 1914 bombarded German wireless station at Yap.
November 1914 Escorted Australian troop convoys.
December 1914 Flagship Cape Station.
January 1915 refit then joined 2nd Cruiser Squadron Grand Fleet.
31 May 1916 present at the Battle of Jutland.
1920 Sold for scrap.

All the best Bob.
