Does anyone have more information on ths badge?

It is not represented in "The Sleevebadges of the Netherlands Army" by Coenders, Ekeris and Cats. But I assume you already know this.;)

Thanks Henk. I'm using "Uniformen en emblemen van de Koninklijke Landmacht" by Talens but it is not mentioned there either.

One of these was recently on ebay but also had ' R.E.M.E.' across the top. Not known to me. Fantasy item?

Didn't know that one. I see you can have the book for € 175.

The one I mentioned "De mouwemblemen van het Nederlandse Leger" was lying before me by incident, so easy to go through it. :)

Well I never! Another item to look out for.
Luc. Does 'REME' translate to Dutch, or were the wearers of these serving with British REME units?

Wmr-RHB 08-05-19 03:32 PM

R.E.M.E was just using the English expression.

After the war it was called Technische Troepen.

That is a bit high, I think you will be able to find one for €50 with a bit of luck and patience.

John, no it does not translate into Dutch. Perhaps it made them easy to identify by other allied forces?

Yes, it is. But that is what I found with a quick Google.
I am not really in need of it (but it would be nice if affordable). I have the other one and used it to find out about the named artillery regiments post war. I do not collect badges. My interest is in lineages.

When regimental lineages (Netherlands) is also of (more or less vague) interest to you, I can give you a link.

Yes please send me the link.

Hi Mike,

I do not know your interests, but there is more when you go up one step to The Regiments of:

The non-Netherlands country parts only contain a few excerpts (in PDF) of the complete information (that I have locally here).

And I need comments and corrections to improve the information.

Hi Luc,

I have the same orange on black NEDERLAND badge and also have a red on black one.
I have been searching for the last 3 years but have not been able to identity it.

So if anyone knows, I would also be curious to know a bit more about it.

Regards,

Albert
