Beret

Hi Guys not my subject but is this a Tank Regiment beret or Armoured corps.
Are the holes at the side vent holes and why the odd shape. Asking for a friend. All comments welcomed |
Looks like a RTR beret that hasn't been bashed yet to fit the wearer's head.

Also looks like a officer beret..
|
It's not an issue one but shop bought hence the construction and material.

Don't think so..here#s my original....issued 1945.
|
Hate to say it but it looks like a modern ‘fluffy’ Indian-made beret to me....

The holes are vent holes.
My Dad's first grey Scots DG beret had them, 70's. Chris |
I suspect this is a ‘Victor’ small crown beret. The diamond shaped plastic crown liner and the tab behind the cap badge location are distinctive.
As Alan posted above, they were/are sold commercially and in the colours for most regiments and corps. Tim |

Pleased to say I'm 92 and I know my Beret is original...only wear it for special occasions...

Don't think it's a Victors, i have three from my service, no tab inside, the plastic diamond set more towards the front of the beret - Regards Mark

I'd agree, the beret looks modern.
I may be wrong but I would think it's not an issue British item, it may be private purchase or foreign military. I don't know what's unusual about the shape of it? |
Thanks for all the comments I shall pass them on to the owner
