is it possible to date these badges ? Thank you

The khaki and khaki drill Canada titles are Second WW into the post war era. The blue Canada's are RCAF officer's SWW into the 60's. The MARS badges (red circle and arrow), GS patches, service chevrons, were SWW. The WO 1 rank badge up until 1946, the RCA slip-on worn in Canada only, 1940-46. The Distinguished Marksman not 100% sure, but iirc, it is post-war.

Is there a reason for the amount of space above the letters on the RCA slip on?

The authorization for the Cdn pattern slip-ons stipulated:
The title will be in a straight line or lines, as indicated, unless
otherwise stated. The lower edge of the title will be one half
inch from the lower edge of badge. Letters will be in black embroidery,
thee-eights of an inch in height.
Titles with short one line abbreviations all had the space above it, but two line or arced titles filled more of the body. The Provost slip-ons are found with company numbers sewn on above the embroidered abbreviation.
