There are obverse and reverse images in Chris Marsh's A/A book, p. 385. BTW, it is slidered.

My error , always mix up mill hill and millfield up.
A very rare anodised badge.

Sorry Alan, i cant help you. Not the most common CCf badge though.

That's the badge. the construction seems very poor. I have seen a lugged example that is die cast and it is also poorly made. It would seem that the CCF did not buy them from any of the quality badge makers.

As far as im aware, the CCF closed in the 70's

Having ended in the 1990's, I have it on good authority that Millfield School CCF is likely to reform soon wearing badges of the Welsh Guards.

I wonder then ,if they reformed for a short time in the 90s. I spoke to them back then and we told they hadnt had a CCF since the early 70s. And was told about the pacifist communist head who wouldnt have anything military in the school.
It could explain why there are very old Smith & Wright marked badges and some with a blank slider (poss Shaw Munster) .

The Head in the 1970s stopped the CCF being compulsory but did not close it entirely and it continued despite the Head's dislike of it.

Correct Alan,I was at Millfield school until 1980 and the C.C.F. was still in existence then.
