A few SF badges to ask about
2 Attachment(s)
Picked these up today with some other badges that I wanted.
Firstly are they original? Secondly what dates? WW2 or current etc. The SAS wings, the glider pilot wings and the Para wings are deeply padded. I probably will sell the majority. regards |
Hello Simon
IMO SAS bits right. Id be interested in hearing what youre after for them Sir. Please PM me and ill review when i get home in an hour. Thank you Jon |
Jon,
If you could tell me the age of them please, it would assist. regards |
the top left SAS wings are fairly modern issue, last 20 years give or take, hard to say on the beret badge without a close up but also probably fairly modern. I don't like the thick rope rigging on the para badge but the style is WWII period. The light bulbs are perhaps post war certainly I think the bullion is.

To me all the above 5 badges appear to be good WW2 versions, but, I am not an expert.

Age of insignia
Hi Simon,
Imo i think the top SAS wing of original photo is more likely late 60s -70s. Still nice The wire wing i like it, dont have that pattern, but not sure if Brit SAS tbh. I await others opinions. Para wing ww2 - 50s. Ive a couple. Sas cap badge i reckon a nice 50-60s. Thought ww2, but not 100% sure of the back mate. Again happy to be proved wrong. Kind regards Jon |
