Can anybody please tell me if this badge came in different qualities ie NCOs, officers etc, as mine appears to a solid heavy badge as opposed to the only other image l have seen on a dealers list which looks flimsy. Thanks

Hi Pembird, There were sterling silver badges for officers, but I am not aware of any special badge for Snr NCO's. Your badge appears to be frosted silver?

By its weight and feel it could be silver although l have no way of testing it. The fact that it is Scully, Montreal maker marked makes me believe it is a better quality with what you would normally expect.

From the image it looks like it may be a cast badge? Most SD & G badges were Scully marked, so that really isn't a point either way.
