Great news, this for me is the reason this forum is so good. The chap who gave the talk done his degree course on it. There is also a short history book written in 1919

I meant what I said. It's great to exchange information and discuss ideas. A few months back, I came across the significance of a badge picked up "on spec" off eBay.
For the record it was "W.R.M.W." that is "Women's Relief Munitions Worker".
I'll repost the pic when I find it!

Here it is. Quite a large badge (around an inch and a bit). Another I have is slightly smaller but hallmarked. You'll find a write up of this scheme in "On her their Lives Depend" by Angela Woollacott. A great read!
