WWII Plastic badges

Having had a brief interest in WWII Plastic badges I have always wondered why some Regiments had badges made in plastic and others did not.

This has been explained away by some as to the difficulty of producing badges such as the Norfolk Regt with olive branch and trident being easily broken.

However, why did the Cheshire Regt (KK2224) manage be be produced and not the Coldstream Guards?

Thoughts and ideas welcome

Rob

Did they produce any for the guards as a whole?
