'Onward' badges fixings

Two General Service 'Onward' badges, one with loops, the other with slider. Any significance?

Hi GTB,
The slidered "Onward" badge is rarer and often worn by officers. Otherwise no special significance unless in bronze which would be only for officers.

Lugged WW2 Onward badges made in New Zealand, slider WW2 Onward badges made in England and cast slider WW2 Onward badges made in the Middle East.
Most WW1 Onward badges made in England with both lugs and sliders.
