3rd Militia Battalion, The Sherwood Foresters

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

An age toned set of BM QVC cap badge (KK 661) and GM non-facing collar badges (Churchill 1244) with matching shoulder titles (WM)(Westlake 1205) for the 3rd Militia Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Nottingham and Derbyshire Regiment). The additional collar badge is likely to have been worn in the field service cap. Worn 1881-1887.

The 3rd Battalion was the old 2nd Derbyshire Militia or Chatswood Rifles.

Officers of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion have been identified in regimental photographs wearing this shoulder title in their Torin caps.

Cheers Dean
