2 WW1 CAP TALLIES

2 Attachment(s)
Although not a naval collector, I recently obtained these two cap tallies which had formed part of a collection of ephemera/insignia belonging to a WW1 sailor. Both ships had interesting histories. Kind regards, Malcolm.

Malcolm,

Two very interesting tallies. I rather imagine that your WW1 sailor had a few stories to tell.If they are ever looking for a new home then please let me know!

Regards fred

Very jealous of HMS Bulwark.

I have recently purchased a more modern one on ebay. I am making up a number of glazed display boxes relating to family service in WW1 and WW2.

I had a very distant relative killed in the Bulwark explosion off Sheerness in November 1914.

I used to see his name carved in the lych gate of the parish church when I was staying with my grandparents in the country in the school holidays.
